The Impossible Players present a story more than 40 centuries in the making.
MUMMIFIED!! tells the tale of an ancient Egyptian mummy inadvertently brought to life by a professor of Egyptology and a dashing archaeologist in 1925 Chicago.
In the era of bootleggers and flappers, the scientists strive to apprehend the mummy before it can spread panic in the city.
Once the mummy sees the beautiful niece of the professor and abducts her, an unlikely cadre forms to save the girl and put the mummy back into his sarcophagus.
Suspense, comedy, and romance make for a perfect mixture in this play written and directed by long-time Impossible Player, Michael Lynch.
Lynch has been involved with the Imps since the 1970s and has acted, directed and produced numerous productions for the community theater company.
The characters include six men, one non-speaking, ages 30 to 4,500, and three women, ages 20 to 55. One of the women needs an Irish brogue.
